About Us

Our History

Tracy Self, the current owner, took over JustDance in January 2011. Tracy has over 20 years of dance and teaching experience. She has been teaching since age 17. Tracy is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern/contemporary and hip-hop. She graduated in 2009 from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte with a BS in Psychology/Biology. Tracy has attended Governer's School for Dance, and several workshops/conventions including Tremaine. JustDance  is a place that welcomes all levels of dancers. We offer recreational classes in a fun, relaxed environment while teaching the fundamentals of dance. We have also started a competition program for the more serious dancer. We hope to have you join our dance family!

Instructors

Kimmy Alexander

Kimmy Alexander

Kimmy Alexander began dancing at the age of 2 in Davidson, Michigan. When her family relocated to Huntersville, NC at the age of 5 she started dancing at Dance Techniques. Her love for dance only grew stronger as the years passed. While she enjoyed being a part of a competitive dance team it was her time assisting dance classes that she loved the most. She started to assist at the age of 14 and by the age of 16 was teaching on her own. When one of her mentors said to her "There are many dancers out there but it takes something special to be a dance teacher", she knew teaching was her passion. When Kimmy is not at the studio you can find her with her husband, Travis, and 2 children, Tessa and Corbyn. They enjoy days on the lake, movie nights, and (of course) dance parties.
